This series showcases the album packaging design for OneSong Orchestra’s ExAvantGarde and NewOldSchool. Known for interpreting Taiwanese music through Western classical styles, the orchestra blends tradition and innovation to transcend stylistic boundaries and present Taiwan’s unique musical heritage globally.
Reflecting this philosophy, the design abandons conventional CD formats in favor of a USB drive as the medium. The packaging’s unconventional size and tactile quality create a distinct visual identity that stands apart from traditional music carriers, making a strong and memorable first impression.
Visually, the design opens with rhythmic gradients and op art–style squares that echo the contrasting themes of the two albums—Western classical and jazz reinterpretations with a distinct Taiwanese flair. Contemporary textures, imagery and symbols are woven in to build a cultural vocabulary that bridges past and present, capturing the lively interplay and fusion of diverse musical styles.
The typography and colour schemes of both albums are thoughtfully crafted to reflect the era, style, and emotional tone of the music. This harmony between visuals and sound deepens the atmosphere, making the packaging feel like an extension of the band’s identity rather than just a sleeve.
此系列為台灣代表性當代交響樂團——灣聲樂團《舊前衛》與《新老派》專輯裝幀設計。該樂團之特色為以西方古典方式詮釋並改編台灣樂曲,融合新舊元素,打破曲風框架,讓世界聽見台灣音樂的獨特魅力。
此系列專輯之設計延續樂團融合傳統與創新的精神,因應新世代樂迷之數位習性,以隨身碟為載體,藉異於常規的尺寸與量感,建立與傳統專輯形式有別的鮮明區隔,成為視覺上的第一印象切角。
視覺設計以具節奏感的漸層與歐普矩陣開場,分別唱和兩張專輯主打之西洋古典與爵士經典台味,融入當代筆觸、圖像與符號,組構古今交織的文化語彙,呼應音樂作品之多元風格的碰撞與融合。
專輯之標準字與色彩系統亦分別依循作品的年代、風格與情感質地打造,使視覺語言貼近聽覺氛圍,延伸音樂脈絡與情緒,讓裝幀不僅是包裝,更成為樂團精神的延伸。
